Winter's Here

These pictures don't tell the story very well. On Thursday night we had a big storm and got around a foot of snow. School was cancelled and it was difficult to get anywhere that day via car, as it took awhile for the roads to get cleared. Last night we got another few inches of snow which, compared to the previous foot of snow, wasn't much. But today we have absolute temperatures just below zero, and wind gusts ranging from 15-40 mph, which makes it feel like it's -30 outside. It is beyond bitterly cold out there.

This is how our front looks today. You can get an idea of the snowfall from Thursday night, and you can also get an idea of the gusting, as it was neatly shoveled until the winds came up last night.
