February 1, 2004. The Chinese New Year coincided with the opening of the brand new Motomachi train station, which was close to our home in Yokohama. There was a huge celebration for both, and since the train station was adjacent to Chinatown, the New Year's festivities and the train station festivities pretty much overlapped. Here is Brad with our friend Hamish, who he held up to see the New Year's parade.
