Oh, January
Such a quiet evening. No one's home. Mary has Mock Trial tonight, and the boys went to a basketball game. The times coincided so they all car-pooled together. I had a nice evening to watch a movie (Burn After Reading) and do a little knitting. Mary's back at school as of yesterday, and the boys are home for a few more days. Brad's in St. Louis. The boys usually sleep late, so it's quiet around here until lunchtime. The other day John discovered The West Wing (television show) and has started at Season One and has been watching it almost nonstop on his computer. So far he has pulled two all-nighters this week -- I just hope he finishes all seven seasons before school starts! Mary and I made chocolate chip cookies today after school. I've eaten too many but they were delicious so I have no regrets. The dogs are good. Kia had a much-needed teeth cleaning yesterday, which meant anesthesia and a full day at the vet, but she did wonderfully and now she's good as new. I've started taking the dogs on separate walks after two incidents where we were "approached" (to put it kindly) by a dog off-leash. When Brad's home he walks with me and then we take both dogs. Well, speaking of the dogs I hear them barking so that must mean the kids are home.
