Flashback Friday

I was sure my family loved me when . . . they went with me on a pottery pilgrimage. Peter was touring with a Polish boys' choir in the United States in the summer of 2001, and the rest of us spent many weekends that summer driving to different places in Poland. On one of our weekend trips we traveled to Boleslawiec, in the far western side of Poland (with a stop in Wroclaw on the way). This picture was taken on July 14, 2001. There were some really good pottery shops in Warsaw, but going to the source offered an amazing selection, and we also learned a lot about the history of the pottery when we were there. We use our pottery practically every day, and each time we do it brings back memories of our happy time living in the wonderful country of Poland.
