Never a Dull Moment
This morning when the dogs and I returned from our walk, I got out of the car and heard a strange noise. It sounded like someone was running a huge gas oven. I couldn't figure it out. The noise kept repeating at intervals, and it came from up over the hill in our backyard, but I couldn't see anything. After the deer, horses, and cows we've had around the property lately, from the sound of it I half expected to see a fire-breathing dragon appear in our yard. So we went into the house and I went out onto the deck to investigate further. This is what I saw:
I watched it as it traveled over our neighbor's house and it landed somewhere down the street. This is the view from our kitchen window as it was going in for its landing:

I think the balloon was a clever ruse by the dragon to throw you off its trail. Don't call off the search.
ReplyDeletewhen we lived in TX. one landed across the street.Sheila (our dog ) never got over it, it haunted her to her dying day. and I'd also ake Peter's advice, he is very wise man.....
ReplyDeletePeter, I know you're just saying that because I embarassed you with that guitar picture this morning. :-)
ReplyDeleteIs there anything that doesn't happen in that town of yours? I think you should start writing everything down and write yourself a clever book.
