This weekend is Parents' Weekend at Tufts. Since we now live so close (145 miles), Brad and I decided to make a day of it. It was a beautiful fall Saturday in Boston. John is doing fantastic and he was a wonderful host. We got to meet lots of his friends and their parents, we ran into the Eders from Shorewood, we went to a football game, and we had lunch and dinner with John. The highlight was getting to go to John's concert. He plays in the Tufts Wind Ensemble and, armed with my new ability to make video, I have some clips from the concert at the bottom of the post.

Now, for the concert. I have three videos. For those of you who just want a snippet, here is a 20-second portion of a Souza March. Here is a link to it. There are also two full-length pieces. The first is the Tuba Tiger Rag. It runs about four minutes. John is the tubist on the left. You can't see his face until the tubists get up to dance. Yes, you read that right, and there will be dancing tubas. Here's a link. The last piece is Raiders' March, which is the theme to Raiders of the Lost Ark. Here's the link. It runs for six minutes.
