I had a fun weekend in California. It could only have been better if Brad and the kids were with me, but Brad and Mary were holding down the fort here at home, and of course the boys were at school. We celebrated my dad's 76th birthday and I had a good visit with my parents, the Reckingers, and Kelly and Joyce.
Mom felt left out that she didn't have any good poses for her Facebook page, so Erin showed her the ropes. These two scare me. I think they have too many of the same genes.
This is my weak effort at holding the camera myself and taking a photo of me and Erin. Oh well, at least I got a good angle of our goddaughter. Next time, I must remember to get someone to take it for us.
The birthday dinner group, minus our hosts Kelle and Bob, who were out of camera range. The Reckinger birthday hat - being worn by Dad - was pretty funny.
Mom and Dad after we had lunch at one of their favorite Italian restaurants in Lake Elsinore. They might as well call all the restaurants where Mom and Dad go "Cheers" - because no matter where we'd go, it'd be a place "where everybody knows your name."
