Movie Night

I'm writing to talk about another Connecticut find. Last night Brad and I saw The Young Victoria at the Bantam Cinema, which is pictured above. Yes, that very un-cinemaplex-looking building has two movie screens inside. The theater we were in had seven rows and seated about a hundred people. We loved this place. There is a little concession stand inside and the movies they have are the kind we like. Bantam is a little town about 20 minutes from our house. It's next to Litchfield, which is the closest place to Bantam that you might have heard of. This movie house is definitely a keeper. Next door to it was a little wood pit barbeque restaurant, where we went after the movie and had a delicious dinner. (We had to wait in line for about half an hour - who knew there were crowds in rural Connecticut?) Next time we can hopefully bring Mary, who was in Boston for the weekend and returned on the train this morning - smiling but hoarse - after a busy and very happy weekend at Model UN.
