For a couple of years in a row, way back when, we went to a weekend-long women's soccer tournament that Notre Dame hosted in the month of September. The tournament got great teams like Santa Clara and North Carolina, so we got to see some really good soccer. Here is John in September of 1999, at the age of 9, in the stands at one of those games.
