The Explosion, Part I

This week I am in Wernersville, Pennsylvania at a five-day silent retreat. But thanks to the magic of blogging I can set my blog posts up ahead of time and share the spring explosion with you. By the time I get home on Sunday I think we will have even more color.

The grape hyacinths are small, but their color is mighty.

This azalea bush is on the north side of the house and kind of hidden, which is too bad because it has such a pretty color.

Asparagus! This year is already year three of our asparagus crowns which, according to the gardening books, is when we can start to harvest. Yippee!
