My Week on Retreat

I'm back from my five days of silence in the beautiful setting of the Jesuit Center in Wernersville, Pennsylvania. I posted my photos on Facebook, and decided to put the link to those photos here on the blog for anyone who wants to see. (You can view them whether or not you're a member of Facebook.) So here is that link. People are curious about how my retreat went. It was peaceful, reflective, inspiring, invigorating, joyful, prayerful, thank-filled, restful and, of course, quiet. Five days of not talking is not nearly as "difficult" as it sounds, and it's interesting what happens when the demands of life and of modern distractions are gone. I had a wonderful week, and it's also wonderful to be home.
