I was talking with some of my Japan friends last weekend, and was reminded that it was Food Fair time. The St. Maur Food Fair takes place each year on April 29, which is a national holiday (Showa Day). An annual fundraiser for St. Maur (the kids' school), it was a fun and memorable (and tasty!) event each year. Here is Mary in 2003 - our first Food Fair - working at the Lucky Pencil booth. She looks like she's "taking names" but I actually think she's hard-selling the luck of the Lucky Pencil.
