When you grow a lot of peas .....
..... you get a lot of peas. (Actually we grow both peas and pea pods, and most of this harvest was pea pods.)
Here's are some regular peas. Aren't they gorgeous? I am shucking the peas and saving them until I have enough to make my first-ever batch of pea pesto. Can't wait!
Sue - Don's sister in Alaska grows peas and she pickles them. She has a secret recipe but they are fantastic! She sells them for $10/jar. The peas are spicy and yummy! You might want to look on Google for a recipe if this sounds like a good idea to you.
