In Racine, Wisconsin on Christmas Eve in 1993, it was beginning to look a lot like Christmas. (I apparently took this picture minutes before the ornaments went up on the tree.) Twenty years later in 2013 in St. Louis, Missouri it's beginning to look like Christmas too. Mary arrived home on Saturday and Peter gets here on Monday. We've already enjoyed some nice family time this week with John and Mary and Troy - it will be even better next week when we can add Peter to the bunch, and then after Christmas when we get to see Kayla. It's strange to realize that it wasn't that long ago we had three completely dependent kids ages 4, 3, and 1, and now we have three almost fully independent kids ages 25, 23, and 21.
This would be a good picture for the kids to re-enact. Especially Mary! That face is so funny!! I didn't know Peter was coming home. I thought he was staying in DC and celebrating with Kayla's family. How nice to have everyone home.
