
The construction continues. The doorway to our closet is now carved. The door will be a pocket door. On the other side the the doorway, 2x6 beams on what used to be the outside of the house (some years ago an addition was built) are being notched out for the pocket door.

This is the inside of the future closet. It's not huge (about 9x9) but it was as large as we could get.

The other half of the project is the erasure of the fireplace and the moving of a different closet, which gained us not only one long flat wall but also about five board widths of extra space in the room, which you can see above.

It's a mess but after four days it's also progress!
