This week Troy's parents, Lloyd and Esther, moved out of their loft, put their belongings into storage, and got ready to begin their retirement adventure in Vietnam and beyond. They spent their last night at our house and John and Troy joined us for a goodbye dinner. After a stressful move not made easier by our freak weather, Esther more than deserved the two beers she's holding.
The next day I took Lloyd and Esther to the airport and they began their journey to their ultimate destination, Nha Trang, where they'll live for an indefinite amount of time while awaiting acceptance into the Peace Corps. We've so enjoyed living in St. Louis with them this past year, but we're excited for them that they get to pursue such a daring and inspiring dream.
What a great adventure! Cheers to Lloyd and Esther!
