St. Louis Brewers

The newest addition to John and Troy's home brewing operation is up and running. For the past week, John's been at our house building the wooden frame that he added to extend the lid of their chest freezer aka kegerator. The idea was to add a place through which they could run tap lines and tap handles. (In case you're wondering ….. they couldn't drill holes through the freezer's sides because that's where the cooling lines run. They could have run the taps directly through the original lid of the freezer, but for esthetic reasons they didn't want to do that.) Today the four of us went out for breakfast together, and afterwards Brad and I stopped by to see the finished product - and of course to sample some of their beer.
This is the open kegerator. It looks great and it works like a charm.
Sirius is the perfect height for the taps to be his own personal drinking fountain. He is so gifted at being able to break into containers of food items that it's a good thing they are behind a locked door!
