These aren't ours, but I wish they were. We have some yellow and pink irises but they're just not very photogenic. I saw these purple beauties while walking Allie the other day and thought they were extra pretty thanks to a little help from some sprinklers. (And you thought it was rain?!) Now the irises are starting to fade and another favorite flower is appearing all around town - and in our yard too. By next week enough blooms should be out that I'll have plenty of photos to share. You'll have to wait until then to know what it is - unless you live in a climate similar to ours - in which case you probably already know!

I is for Iris

I just went to bring in my hanging plants since it's going to snow and temps will be below freezing. One of them had a birds nest in it so I had to leave it alone. I have 4 Columbine's that I purchased but luckily I had not planted them yet. Wednesday morning it could get as low as 22! So depressing.
