Brew Visit

On Saturday the three of us visited John and Troy. Actually, let me rephrase that. On Saturday the three of us visited John and Troy AND Sirius. Which is why Allie staked out a spot under a table where she could be safe from the brute otherwise known as Sirius. (He's not really a brute; he's super gentle but she seems to think otherwise.)
It was a brew day. This is brewing in action.
This is spent grain. It's done its duty and at this point isn't needed anymore. But I still think it looks pretty interesting.
Of course the best part about brewing is the finished product. This is a Kölsch that was just tapped. It was great.
Recently John and Troy added a second fermenting chamber to their "brewery." (In other words, another dorm-sized refrigerator.)
A hose attached to the kitchen sink makes for easy cleaning.
While we were there, Lloyd and Esther called from Morocco. So Troy put them on speakerphone and we all got caught up.
And by the end of our visit, Allie was able to (barely) tolerate Sirius' affections.
