This weekend Troy's brother Aaron (from Dallas) and her sister Alit (from Connecticut) were in town. They came over to our house for dinner on Thursday night and we had a really nice time with them.
On Friday night we all got our two for $11.20 baseball tickets (which were great seats in right field) and went to see the Cardinals shut out the Rockies 7-0. Lots of hitting and lots of runs made a hot summer night much more bearable!
Meanwhile, on Friday night Peter and Jessa flew to Las Vegas to begin their weeklong national parks vacation. Here's a Snapchat screen shot that speaks for itself. They're in Zion right now with plans to visit Mesa Verde, the Grand Canyon, and maybe more parks but that's all I can remember. They return home next weekend and Peter goes back to work on Monday.
I think Mary was more than a little excited to pick up the keys to her apartment and start moving in! With Peter gone she can stay at either place (Mary's air conditioning won't be on until Monday), and Jessa was nice enough to leave Mary her car so she can cart stuff from Peter's place to her new place. We're going out in about ten days to bring her the rest of her stuff. (Her roommate doesn't move in for about a month.)
As you can see from this Snapchat, Mary's pretty excited about getting things organized. She also hung a shower rod and curtain, and bought herself a hanging rack (she doesn't have a closet in her room) and put it together. So I think watching all those house shows is paying off!
This weekend Allie enjoyed sleeping in and staying in from the heat. She likes to rest her head on my extra pillow, which it would probably be more accurate to call her pillow.
