Flashback Friday

For the next three weeks I'm going to post a "first Christmas" picture of each of the kids. And in terms of who goes first, second, and third, I'm mixing it up: John gets to go first! In looking for these pictures, a predictable pattern emerged. For Peter's first Christmas, there are an abundance of pictures: Peter alone, Peter with each and every relative, Peter with gifts, Peter with stuffed animal, Peter in different outfits, etc. For John, the pickings get slimmer. And for Mary, even slimmer. Not that we didn't take pictures, but the quality and quantity diminishes with each new child. (Sorry John and Mary, but we tried!) So for John, I thought this picture said a lot: first Christmas for the little brother is watching big brother open the presents. It's from our first year in Ithaca when our "little guy" was six and a half months old. And as I was typing this post and looking at the picture, I think the gift Peter's opening were these foam sea animals in a capsule. Barry and Wendy gave it to them and they made for a fun bath time.
