Birthday Party

My mom's birthday party was a fun but fast 48 hours. On Friday, I flew to Kansas City and met up with Steve and Amy. Our flight was delayed by three hours, though we managed to find something to occupy our time while we waited.

Once in Temecula . . . . . Mom got a lot of beautiful birthday wishes in the mail, which she had proudly displayed in the house.

Saturday morning was time to get everything set up (or not).

First, this was waaaaaay more cake than needed! Second, I did my part by eating as much as humanly possible because it was sooooo good! The flavor was one million percent chocolate.

My mom's Sullivan nieces and nephews were sweet to send a big sign and some fun party favors.

What goes with too much cake? Too much food, of course!

It was fun spending time with Kathy and Steve. (Kelle arrived later.)

Getting a group picture is far more complex than it looks.

But for some reason the bigger group was easier!
