Why do you think the roundup of last weekend starts with this photogenic group of Tufts friends who got together over the weekend in Nashville? Give up?! The reason is . . . . . ever since John went to Tufts, I always remember when it's Patriots' Day aka April 19, 1775 . . . . . which was the Battle of Lexington and Concord (because it's a state holiday in Massachusetts) which is . . . . . today! (Thanks to Troy for the picture!)
While John and Troy were away, we watched Sirius. He was a perfect gentleman at our house. Allie was even relaxed enough to take a snooze while he sat right next to her.
But back to my Patriots' Day theme. On Sunday, this patriot and his girlfriend (who supplied me with the picture; I'll leave it to you to figure out who they are) flexed their citizen muscles in protesting a certain Supreme Court decision. (Since you're probably on a roll, I'll also let you figure out which decision it was that they were protesting. Hint: read the poster if you can't figure it out.)
Mary also enjoyed the beautiful weather in D.C. by picking up her "new" bike from the bike shop. Her bike was stolen a few weeks ago and she recently bought another used bike to replace it. I don't have a picture of Mary, so you'll have to settle for a picture of her bike instead!
As you can see, the weather in Nashville and in Washington was gorgeous. And it was here too. Our lilacs are in full bloom and fragrance.
We spent Brad's birthday weekend doing a lot of yard work. I planted herbs, lettuce, peas, and flowers. Brad mowed and did yard cleanup. We'll have a more proper celebration this weekend, with a dinner here with John and Troy and an evening out with just the two of us.
And back in Colorado, we were hit with 2 feet of snow by Denver and 3-4 feet in the mountains! You forgot that picture!!
