Five years ago this weekend Peter graduated from college. Today Brad and I, and tonight John, head over to DC to celebrate with him as he gets his Master's in Special Education from the same school he graduated from five years ago, American University. (No ceremony or cap and gown this time, just a long weekend party.) John couldn't be there last time (that's "John on a stick," a poor substitute but the best he could muster since Peter graduated smack dab in the middle of John's junior year final exams) so it's great that he can be there this time. Five years ago after the graduation weekend was over, we all went home and left Peter in DC to start his new job at DC Bilingual. Five years later, he's still working for the same school. He's now an experienced teacher about to get his Master's degree and about to embark on a new adventure in his life teaching school in Morocco alongside his wonderful girlfriend, Jessa. We couldn't be more proud of Peter or more excited for the two of them, and so for obvious reasons we're really looking forward to this weekend with our family in DC.
