While we were living in Poland in the summer of 2002 we traveled to a neighboring country to visit my great-grandfather's nephew and his family in Mortelstein, Germany. It was a wonderful day of laughter, delicious food, and fun conversation (despite most of us not speaking the others' language). Yesterday we traveled to a neighboring state to visit with two people very near and dear to us, Peter and Jessa. They're on the return portion of their cross-country journey and we're enjoying the sights and tastes of Memphis together. Tomorrow we all head to St. Louis, where they'll be with us for a few days.
