More Visit

Last Friday night we celebrated Geneva and Chuck's birthdays. Geneva turned 80 earlier in the month, and Chuck turns 83 in a few days. John and Troy joined us for dinner and some cake.
The Harrison birthday crowns, still going strong after approximately 25 years in service!
On Saturday we went out for barbecue at Pappy's, then to an Oktoberfest at Urban Chestnut Brewery, where Troy was working in the Civil Life tent. It was hot and quite crowded so we didn't stay too long. (Plus we had to get home in time for the Stanford game.)
Then on Sunday, we were again joined by John and Troy (and Sirius) to watch the Packers. As you can see, watching football is rather tiring for Sirius. But that doesn't means he's any less enthusiastic for the Packers! (As is evidenced by his bandana.)
John and Troy came over for dinner last night, and Geneva and Chuck left this morning. We had a really good visit with them. Allie enjoyed all the activity, but she was a bit uncomfortable as she had an undiagnosed chronic itch. This is her at the vet's this afternoon. She would like everyone to know that all the scratching she's been doing was nothing more than a case of fleas. (Apparently the flea/tick medicine she gets every month isn't foolproof.) But more importantly, she would like you to know that she got out of that hell-hole, otherwise known as the vet's office, and made it back safely back to the confines of her home sweet home.

  1. While it was too warm for you to stay long at the beer festival, I was at the cabin with fresh snow on the ground, gusting winds up to 20mph and my winter jacket on! Tale of two cities!!
