Getting ready to move means getting rid of stuff. While Mary was home she went through some of her boxes and got rid of a bunch of it. But not this ensemble she got when we visited Thailand. Infact, she decided to take it back with her to DC. Rent the Runway's got nothing on Mary's middle school fashions!
Getting ready to move also means doing some packing, which is what Brad did on Wednesday when he loaded up his car to take it (and him) to California.
We said our goodbyes in the driveway and then he hit the road.
He'll be home in a couple of weeks to help me with some of the things we're doing to get the house ready to put on the market.
But tell that to Allie. As far as she's concerned he might as well be going to the moon.
As we say goodbye to another year, we said hello to our Century Home sign, which Brad hung while he was home. This year we're all in quite different places to ring in (or sleep through the ringing in of) 2017. Brad's in Phoenix (on his way to California) with his parents. Peter's in Amsterdam (winding up their European vacation). John's in Chattanooga (meeting up with Tufts friends). Mary's in DC. And I'm here. Happy New Year to all, wherever you are!
