Untitled

On Saturday morning, Allie walked with us to the park near our house where we watched the start of a water-skiing race from Long Beach to Catalina—and back! Yikes, that's a lot of water-skiing!
It's kind of hard to see, but this is the water-skiers on their way to Catalina. As a frustrated water-skier, I can't begin to imagine what it's like to ski for two to three minutes—let alone two to three hours straight, and on the ocean.
I also visited Mom in Temecula this week. When we weren't watching This is Us (Mom's hooked!), we had a FaceTime call with Peter. He gave her a tour of their new apartment, including many glimpses of their cat Peaches.
We also watched the doves in Mom's guest room window, once again laying on some eggs. The doves have been nesting in the same window box for years. Mom said she and Dad always marveled that the doves would find the same window box year after year. It's hard not to wonder how they know to find this relatively secluded place.
