Ladies and gentlemen! Look around, look around at how lucky we are to be alive right now! Brad and I
could have been anywhere in the world tonight but we're here in New York City St. Louis seeing
Hamilton. Because of this, I thought I'd
rewind, rewind, rewind to the one and only Harrison family musical theatre moment. And it was .....
wait for it ..... Mary! (If she had known that
history has its eyes on her, she might have said
no to this.) But she is
inimitable,
she is
an original—and here she is dancing in the chorus of
Footloose. It wasn't a big role but she
knocked me out, I fall apart. So thank you Mary,
for being a lot smarter, for being a self-starter when we dropped you
in the middle of a forgotten spot called Nonnewaug High School, and for giving me a way to write about
A-L-E-X-A-N-D-E-R Hamilton in a Flashback Friday.
