Flashback Friday

Usually my Flashback Fridays are pictures from the same time of year as present day, and ideally the same month and week. In looking for pictures for today's Flashback, I'm reminded that the choices in my photo collection are very slim for the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. (If it truly is the most wonderful time of the year, I definitely do not have the pictures to prove it.) So this week and next I'm doing a companion flashback, with both pictures from Thanksgiving weekend in 2006. (It's close enough!) We were living in Shorewood, and the five of us spent the holiday in Chicago. We did this a few times when we lived in Wisconsin and it was always fun. Here are the kids on Thanksgiving Day 2006, on our walk to dinner. Peter is a senior in high school, John's a junior, and Mary is in eighth grade. Peter no doubt had to get home for basketball practice on Friday so it was likely an abbreviated weekend. But based on the photos and my memory, still a nice one.
