Flashback Friday
It's that time of year again, when we look back on December 12, 2005—the day we got Allie. Here she is, in the house where she was born in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, being held by her birth human mother. (Whose name I forget or else I wouldn't call her something as awkward as "birth human mother.") Thirteen years later, it's hard to imagine what life was ever like without Allie in our house. She's part of the fabric of our lives. And even though in adjusted years she's now older than me and Brad, she still acts like the puppy she was in this picture. (Except thankfully she doesn't gnaw on the furniture anymore.) I don't think anyone will argue with the notion that Allie is the best Christmas present we ever got.
