Christmas With Allie

Even though Allie's been a bit under the weather this holiday season, she's been doing her best to get in the spirit of the season. I can't fit everything about from Christmas in one blog post, so I thought I'd start with her.
The good news is that even though she's been getting up multiple times a night to go outside due to a UTI, she's still felt good enough to play with her new toys. This is her star toy that the Kidd family gave her. She loves it and it's super soft and very indestructible.
This is her gingerbread sweetheart that her friend Pandora gave her. She's had it since early in December, and we thought it'd be destroyed within a day or two. But gingerbread sweetheart is still around all these weeks later, which has to be a record for a plush toy for Allie!
And this is her new football toy that we (ahem, Santa) got her for Christmas.
Pet socks were a big theme this Christmas. Peter and Jessa got Peaches socks. John and Troy got Sirius socks. My mom got Simba socks. And Mary got Allie socks.
I know that Mary would love nothing more than to take Allie home with her, but socks with Allie's face on them are the next best thing!
Allie appeared in our Christmas pajamas group picture, but I don't think she's figured out the art of the selfie. Maybe that's a new trick that we can try to teach our old dog this year? (Or maybe not.)
The good news is that Allie seems to be feeling better. She slept through the night for the past two nights, which is the first time she's done so since December 8! We're still following up with medicine and vet appointments, but she finally acts like she's getting better, which is good for her (and for us too)!
