I have so little to blog about these days that I can't believe I forgot something! On March 23, Brad and I went to a wedding in Los Angeles. The daughter of friends of ours from Wisconsin got married. It was lovely.
The venue was a place called The Ruby Street. We surmised it had been a house that was gutted and turned into an event venue. This was the dining room.
I'm sure you've heard that the poppies and wildflowers are in full bloom. We have a lot of highly photogenic poppies on the bluff overlooking the beach near our house.
This weekend Brad and I drove up to Glendora and the hillsides on the route were a beautiful yellow-green color, thanks to more wildflowers. These flowers were a medium-height yellow flower, but I can't say for sure what the variety was. Brad called them mustard, but I'm not agreeing to that until he can confirm. Whatever they are they made for pretty color.
Yes, we drove all the way to Glendora (about an hour) for donuts. And it was well worth it.
Meanwhile, our kids are keeping busy. John has finally moved to Colorado and over the weekend he found a used Ethan Allen kitchen table and chairs for their house. After over six years of living together, this is their first table and chairs they've owned. Let the dining commence!
Meanwhile across the Atlantic, Peter and Jessa spent last week in Cabo Verde for their spring break.
I don't think I need to say that the beach looks pretty.
And the beachgoers look relaxed.
On their way home they flew through Lisbon and discovered that there is an entire store in the Lisbon airport devoted to sardines. Apparently Portugese sardines are a thing. You heard it here first!
Finally, recently I started an Instagram for my dad's woodworking and stained glass art. He built so many beautiful things and I decided that having an Instagram would be a way to curate it for the family and anybody else who is interested. The above chair was featured in yesterday's post. You can find it at fposs_temecula.
