Flashback Friday
Ah technology. Sometimes it's like a miracle. And sometimes it's just plain frustrating. My computer and my scanner refused to speak to each other at all today, whether wirelessly or with the aid of a cable. I tried all the tricks in my book to coax them, but none of them worked. (I think my almost ten-year old computer is beginning to show its age.) I wouldn't care, except that I had my heart set on posting this Flashback of little nine-month old Mary and I needed to scan it. Since the scanning wouldn't work I resorted to snapping a photo of the photo and, well, you can see it doesn't translate nearly as well as scanning would have. But it's better than nothing. This picture is from May of 1993, taken at our house on Saxony Drive in Racine. I did not remember that the dress that Mary's wearing was made by my grandmother, but thanks to the ancient practice of writing on the back of photos I am able to share that fact with you.
