Our Morocco contingent has moved to Philadelphia! This is how it happened: Peter, Jessa, and Peaches flew from Morocco to DC the Sunday before last. Jessa and Peaches got picked up by her brother and drove to her mom's house in Gettysburg to rest up before Jessa started her new job on July 1. Meanwhile, Peter continued on to California to pick up his grandma's old car (which is now his new car). He slept at our house the first night. (I was in Washington, but Brad was home.) After a short sleep and a short visit with Brad, Peter drove down to San Juan Capistrano to visit with my mom for a couple of days. First stop: Panera for lunch (see above).
On one of the nights he was there, my sister Kelle and her family came over for dinner. This is Peter with cousins Erin and Jack.
On another day he went on a beach walk with Kelle and Grandma.
Peter and my mom picked me up at the Long Beach airport when I flew back from Washington. Brad joined us for dinner in Long Beach. From there, Brad went home and the rest of us went to my mom's house in San Juan Capistrano to spend the night. The following morning Peter and I headed out of town bright and early for the drive to Philadelphia. I was along to navigate, to be a backup driver if needed, and generally to keep Peter awake and entertained for the long five day drive—in other words, to be the mom. Starting tomorrow, I'll tell you all about our trip!
