Philadelphia Freedom: Days 3-5

Our last three days weren't very exciting, and they were long. My zeal for taking photos was starting to wane, and the scenery wasn't as spectacular as it was in the West. Above: you've heard of the saying "where the West begins?" Well, in my opinion Eastern Colorado is where the West ends.
Everybody likes to hate on the boring drive on I-80 through Nebraska. I didn't think I hated on Nebraska, but I don't have any pictures of the Nebraska countryside either. I guess this speaks for itself. Let's just say these Blizzards were the best thing about Nebraska.
The tallest thing in Iowa wasn't the corn, it was the windmills. Lots and lots of them.
Crossing the mighty Mississippi into Illinois.
Best thing about Illinois: our lunch at Culver's. Needless to say, food was an important aspect of our trip. And the longer we were on the road, the worse our food choices became. (I ate at Jimmy John's and drank soda. Enough said.)
Heavy sigh.
Still driving on I-80.
Spotted on I-80!
This is as much countryside as I have for you from the state of Ohio.
Leaving on the morning of our last day, in the quaint downtown of Warren, Ohio.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is Pennsylvania!
On the morning of our fifth day, Peter dropped me off at the Pittsburgh airport for my flight home.
And then he drove off, to complete the final leg of the trip to Philadelphia on his own. Some fun facts from our trip: we had practically perfect weather, with not one drop of precipitation. We didn't get pulled over by the police at all. And Peter drove the entire trip. Tomorrow, I have one final post with a few pictures from the plane.
