Week 2 of my San Diego Quarantine

Greetings once more from San Diego. I just started the third week of staying with my aunt. More on that later. The highlights of my day are when I get to speak with or, better yet, speak with and see, my family. This picture is from a chat with Peter and Mary this week. Sorry John and Brad, I know I've spoken with you too but I didn't sneak a photo during our chats. Everybody is status quo in their quarantine lives except that John took his last exam this week, which means he has his first year of law school completed. He had a summer internship all lined up and fortunately it wasn't cancelled, but it'll be done remotely.
One of the things I've done in San Diego is set up in-home care for my aunt and uncle. My uncle's still in skilled nursing but while we're awaiting his hopefully imminent return home we're doing a "getting to know you" week with the care team. This is me and my Aunt Joyce with one of her new best buddies. Aunt Joyce is sporting her new neon vest for safe street crossing while she's walking alone once my uncle gets home and the caregiver has to stay back with him. She also has a new GPS tracker to make sure we never lose her. She walks the same meandering route every morning, but every bit of extra safety means we can all rest a bit easier when she's out walking alone.
The caregivers are so patient. Last night this lovely woman did two puzzles with Aunt Joyce and they had a nice bonding session.
