Just as we were finishing dinner in the dining room, out of the corner of my eye I saw a cat jump up on our courtyard wall. I subconsciously thought, oh look, there's a cat on our courtyard wall. And then I changed that thought to, HOLY CRAP, THERE'S A HUGE WILD CAT ON OUR COURTYARD WALL! We quickly got a phone to take pictures. While Brad was trying to get the cat's attention (it could hear us through the glass) he noticed the coyote standing in the driveway directly behind the bobcat.
It's not clear to us if the coyote and the bobcat were hanging out together, if they had been chasing the same prey, or if we were about to have our very own NatGeo live showdown in the driveway. Thankfully, the visit of these two animals did not end in violence. The bobcat didn't stay around for long, mostly because I think we were annoying it. And we forgot to see what the coyote did when the bobcat jumped off the wall, but I think it's safe to assume he left at the same time.
His news is that the buck is real and ..... the buck stops here!
