New Digs
This is Mary and Andy after their house closing, Covid-style. On Friday morning they sat down and signed their lives away (haha), becoming homeowners in Baltimore. (Afterwards Mary told me a funny story: when the kids were young, we used to sit around the dining room table and sign Christmas cards. What I mean by this is that each family member signed his/her name so that we had five signatures on each of the many cards we sent out. She said those years of signing cards got her trained, years in advance, for all the signing that was required at their closing.) It's been a busy weekend of moving for these two and as of today, they're fully out of their DC apartment and fully in their new house.Andy's parents live nearby and provided some celebratory balloons. We're of course wistful that we won't be able to see their new place (or them) for quite some time, but this morning Mary gave Brad and me a Facetime tour so now we feel like we've practically been there already.
