Happy St. Patrick's Day 1992! Here we have Peter and John when we lived in Ithaca, proudly displaying their Irish heritage with these festive shirts made by Grandma Poss, as well as some stylish green bowler hats. Don't read on Grandma because, as this picture clearly shows, history does not lie, so I will say quite honestly that even more important to these boys than St. Patrick's Day was . . . and is . . . the upcoming golf season. As you can see, they have their clubs ready and are brushing up on their swings. No doubt it was cold and snowy outside, but when it's 1992 and you're golfers at the ages of 3 and 1 years old, life is good because you can work on your swing indoors! And likewise, when you're 20 and 18 years old and it's 2009, life is also good because by the time St. Patrick's Day rolls around you know that winter is almost over and it's not long before . . . it's time for another year of golf. You see, it just depends on your sport. For the Kidd family, it just means that rafting season is just around the corner! This year we are rafting Desolation Canyon in Utah. It's our third time but we couldn't get a permit for any other river.
ReplyDeletehaha, I see that not much has changed! John playing golf, wearing cool sweaters...
