Rainy Day Man
I have no pictures so I'll try to be quick. For the first time since we moved here it's both rainy AND cool (high 50's). And as luck would have it, they both arrived the evening of our long-awaited outdoor James Taylor concert. Brad and I drove up to Tanglewood, which is an outdoor concert venue 75 miles north of here in Massachusetts (not far over the state line in the Berkshires, just outside of Stockbridge, Mass.), to see James and his guests Sheryl Crow and Yo-Yo Ma. The setting of Tanglewood is so pretty and we can't wait to go back (especially if we can have warmth and sunshine). Before the concert began we sat in the rain for two hours, eating our picnic dinner and trying to stay as dry as possible. The rain slowed once the concert started, but by the end it picked up again and was coming down in buckets. (My jeans were still rather wet this morning.) Although I haven't been that cold in awhile, it was a wonderful show and we had a great time. We stayed overnight at a nearby inn, then took a meandering drive home this morning, stopping at a couple of farmers' markets. This area is so pretty. (Have I said that before?) Mary stayed home with the dogs and left bright and early this morning for the first day of two-a-day volleyball tryouts.
