Still Fascinated by the Farm

Yesterday morning when Allie and I got home from our morning walk in town, I went through my usual routine of putting the car in garage and walking up the driveway to get the newspapers before letting Allie out of the car.  Good thing that Allie was in the car, because when I was picking up one of papers, I was startled to see a cow in our front yard.  I had a camera in my purse so I quickly snapped a couple of pictures.
I'm standing in our driveway.  The cow walked across the street in the time it took me to get out my camera.
This is the farm gate, directly across the street from our mailbox.  It seems like maybe the other animals were a bit envious of the cow's freedom.  They don't usually congregate at the gate like this.
After I took those first two pictures, I went in the house and made breakfast, figuring that the farmer would soon be by to get his cow.  But I kept hearing the cow mooing.  So I went to the front door and found her in our driveway.  Here she is walking back across the street.
At this point Allie figures out there is a cow out in front and she is at our front door barking furiously.  This is a picture of the cow staring at Allie, obviously non-plussed at her big fuss.  And by this time it became clear to me that the farmer had no idea that his cow was out (even though the cow would stand at the gate and moo as though to say "can I come back in"), so I called the farmer and he came right over and picked her up.
