Friday night began the loooong birthday celebration. The four of us went out to dinner at one of Mary's favorite restaurants, Carol Peck's Good News Cafe in Woodbury.

On Saturday, Mary's friend Franny (from Shorewood) came up from New York City. Here are the girls making brownies.
John was at the helm of a delicious dinner. He grilled these veggies, and later some chicken, for chicken fajitas. The green peppers are from the garden.

I made a cobbler, as our strawberries are still going strong.
I also made stuffed patty pan squash (from the garden).
Last night we had yet another birthday dinner, as well as the cake. We celebrated a day early since John left today to return to Boston.
