The birds keep being active and this makes me think the winter-we-still-haven't-had is on its way out, and spring is on its way in. We have all sorts of birds that fly among the trees in our backyard in the midmorning, but I can't seem to get pictures of anything much more interesting that a Blue Jay.
The other day I put some old bread on our deck and the Blue Jays were the only ones with enough nerve to come over and eat it.
These two interesting looking birds (I have no idea what they are, but I should take the time to figure it out one of these days) came to the tree next to the house, near enough that I could take a picture.
Maybe this could be part of the reason the birds don't want to get too close. Our watch dog kept a close eye on all the activity on the deck.
