Creatures

I don't know what caused the unbelievable amount of bird behavior in our yard this morning. I was working on the computer and Allie was running around the house barking at stuff outside. I finally realized how loud it was out there. I took a peek and the birds were going crazy. They were flying all over the place, in and out of trees, feeding on the ground, then flying the the neighbor's house, then back again, and the cycle kept repeating. And there were loads of them, including a couple of unusual varieties that I had never seen before. I didn't succeed in getting any photos of anyone very interesting, but I will keep my camera out for tomorrow in case they get the urge to go crazy again.  (Oh, and about the squirrel picture. To get the full scene, you have to imagine the sound in the background while I was taking the picture. Allie was going out of her mind with barking and the squirrel just sat there in the tree posing for me, seemingly knowing he was safe from her and happy to be driving her nuts.)
