Great to be Together

We had a terrific weekend in New York. Too brief, but we enjoyed each minute. This photo is from Friday night. John and Troy and Brad and I went to dinner before Peter and Mary arrived.

Peter's train got in at 10:30; Mary's plane got in at 12:30. This all made for a late night and sleep-deprived next day, but we made it work.

A hearty breakfast at Good Enough to Eat (or is it Something Good to Eat?) was the perfect way to start our day on Saturday morning.

Our first museum stop was the Met. We went off in a few different directions, and everyone saw cool stuff. Once inside, the newly renovated Islamic wing and the European Art rooms were the two most popular destinations.

Thanks to Troy for taking our family photo.

Our second museum stop on Saturday was at the Museum of the City of New York, where we saw an exhibit on how the grid of the city was developed. Very interesting, and it made for good conversation afterwards.

One of my favorite photos from the weekend. I think Brad is amused at the banter between John and Peter at breakfast on Sunday.

Our three wonderful kids.
