Here's a picture of the "crew" (????) getting things organized before filming begins at this particular location. I know, it doesn't look very exciting. And really, it's not. I have many more photos like this, but I won't bore you with (too many of) them.

One of the things to do in preparation for this "scene" was to attach these cameras on paddle boards ( they're just stuck on) and also on the legs of the guys riding the paddle boards. So not only were there cameramen on the water (as well as under the water) filming the paddle boarders, but these little cameras did some extra filming of their own. Kind of cool. One interesting little thing I learned is that these cameras (yes, they're waterproof) can film in HD and are inexpensive enough that they're affordable for your favorite surfer. (You know who you are.)

Aren't these terrible working conditions? This was filming some stuff on the beach yesterday.

Speaking of terrible working conditions, this is where we're headed today, where the plan is to film some surfing. I will bring along my book and, of course, my camera.

During a break in that grueling day at the office with Brad yesterday, we stopped for a bite to eat. I loved this glass display in the open air entrance area to the restaurant where we ate.

And here we are, no worse for the wear and, yes, very much enjoying our time in Maui.
Thanks for the update again! Isn't that a GoPro Camera and if so, Jack already has one. We had 2 people use them on our rafting trip last year and we are probably going to get one for this year's trip.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to the next update! When do I see Sue on a surf board?
