Lettuces. My anti-slug weapon: ground-up egg shells. Supposedly it's like walking on broken glass to slugs. Shazam! (And in case you're wondering, yes, I have planted some additional seeds in those large open spots in the middle.)
Early peas and pea pods. I'm giving them a horizontal and vertical trellis this year. Also, I planted some seeds in the middle. Hoping for a great crop this year!
Broccoli and cauliflower. First time to grow either. After close to a month in the ground, they seem happy. Though the slugs have arrived. So . . . . . tomorrow I plan to get the slugs drunk on beer, as I'm all out of ground-up egg shells.
