Happy Birthday to John, who turns 22 this Monday, June 4! When John turned five, we invited his class to a bowling party at Castle Lanes in Racine. During the party, Mary stuck her hand rather deep inside a ball return, and we ended the day in the emergency room for her to get stitches on a finger. Needless to say, it's a birthday we'll never forget. In this picture we have some of the partiers, including the birthday boy wearing the Harrison family birthday crown, with the unsuspecting little sister (and her dad) at the end of the table. For future birthdays, we went back to having mostly quiet family celebrations. And I am happy to say that none of them resulted in a trip to the emergency room.
