Remember last week's 1998 Flashback picture of the kids with the rakes in their hands? Well, five short years later they've grown a lot taller in this picture from the fall of 2003. This was taken at a beautiful place in Japan called Miyajima, which is an island off the coast of Hiroshima. Over a long weekend we went on an organized tour that included visits to Kyoto, Himedji, Hiroshima, and Miyajima. Led by our English-speaking Japanese guide, we got more local insight than I think we would have if we'd visited these places ourselves.
